    Stellar Labs, a Silicon Valley tech company—partnered with Rockwell Collins—is co-developing a next-generation flight operations management platform that will dramatically speed up this process. Instead of getting broker-furnished pricing and other booking information within minutes, a traveler will be able to receive it instantaneously. Reason: the cloud-based platform will be fully automated, thus able to pluck a customer’s best travel options from an inventory of more than 500 operators worldwide in real time and recommend a traveler’s best options, bypassing brokers altogether.

    Rockwell, Stellar To Develop Flight Ops Management System

    Rockwell Collins and Stellar Labs have partnered to develop a flight operations management platform for business aviation through mobile devices, tablets and web browsers, the companies said. Under the agreement the companies will co-develop a management platform based on the Rockwell Collins ARINCDirect Flight Operations System to create a system in the cloud and integrate with Stellar Labs’ commercial offerings. It addresses the need for operators, fixed base operators, maintenance and crews to work together, the companies said. Today, business aviation data is stored in thousands of traditional, disparate systems. The new platform eliminates that issue, they said.
